Patrick P. Snay

snayPatrick P. Snay Sr. 68 of Logansport, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Logansport.

Born on November 9, 1947 in Mount Clemens, Michigan, he was the son of the late Walter Joseph and Ellen Grace (Stone) Snay.

Patrick was an E5-SGT in the United States Army, and served in the Vietnam War where he lost his leg while wounded by a land mine. He had a love for music, Patrick could be found almost any place that hosted an open mic or karaoke night. He loved to play the drums and was a member of several bands. Patrick enjoyed fishing, darts, horseshoes and playing pool. What meant most to him though was the time he was able to spend with his family and friends.

Surviving him are two sons, Patrick (Cynthia) Snay Jr.; Michael (Kimberly) Snay; daughter, Melissa (Joseph) Smith, all of Logansport; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; three brothers, Gilbert (Dorothy) Snay, Logansport; Tom(Jane) Snay, Tennessee; Robert Snay; Logansport; three sisters, Ellen Zeider; Judith Hizer, both of Logansport; and Ruth Jackson, Michigan; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, four sisters, a granddaughter and great granddaughter.

A celebration of life with Military Rites will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 8, 2016 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Matthew Paul officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation with the family will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday.
