Sandra S. Lind

lindSandra S. Lind, 74, of Burnettsville, passed away peacefully at 7:57 a.m., Sunday, October 2, 2016 at I.U. Health White Memorial Hospital in Monticello.

Born October 6, 1941 in Clymers, she was the daughter of the late Oral and Bessie (Smith) Robertson. On August 27, 1960, she married John O. Lind. He survives.

She was a 1959 Royal Center High School graduate.

Sandra was formerly employed at RCA in Monticello and she retired from Small Parts in Logansport. She and her husband John raised horses for many years.

Sandra was an avid IU Basketball and Bobby Knight fan and she enjoyed word puzzles and playing cards, especially Euchre with her family.

Survivors include her husband, John O. Lind of Burnettsville, daughters, Linda Madary (John) of Lucerne and Tammy Cook (Robert) of Burnettsville, two grandchildren, Rachel Madary and Josh Cook, great granddaughter, Kylee Madary, brother, Don Robertson of Georgetown, sisters, Helen Crocket of Royal Center, Pat Hall (Jerry) of Headlee and Wilma Bowman of Burnettsville, brother in law, Jim Lind (Vonda) of Monticello, sisters in law, Barbara Staley of Monticello, Susan Rowland (Jim) of Monticello, Beverly Tatlock (Don) of Monticello and Dorothy Bosse (Roger) of Battle Creek, MI.

She was also preceded in death by daughter, Debbie Lind, brother, Dick Robertson, sisters, Jean Weaver and Geneva Kozma, brothers in law, Tommy Lind and Robert William Lind and sister in law, Betty Robertson.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel with Pastor Nord Zootman officiating.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society and/or the American Diabetes Association.
