johnson_audnaAudna Maus Johnson, age 101, Logansport, passed away at 5:25 p.m. on Monday, October 31, 2016, in WoodBridge Health Campus.

Born November 19, 1914, in Twelve Mile, she was the daughter of Isaiah J. and Laura Moss Maus.

On May 15, 1943, in Alexandria, Louisiana, she was married to Robert L. Johnson, who preceded her in death on December 11, 1987.

A 1932 graduate of Logansport High School, Audna earned a bachelor’s degree from Manchester College and a master’s degree from Indiana University, Kokomo.

Audna was an elementary school teacher and during her career taught school at Hoover, Twelve Mile, Noble Township, and Logansport.

She was also a talented organist and played at several churches in the area. In earlier years, she attended Corinth Brethren Church, Trinity Episcopal Church and Pipe Creek Church of the Brethren.

Audna had been a member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority, Cass County Retired Teachers Association and the Cass County Honorary Teachers Association.

Surviving are a daughter, Laura Lee Sechen, Cedar Lake, Ind.; son, Ed (Patti) Johnson, Logansport, daughter-in-law, Susan Johnson, Speedway.

Also surviving are grandchildren, William David (Sara) Sechen, Magdalene Elizabeth (J.J.) Melody, Emilee (Jesse) Anderson and David Edwin (Mianda) Johnson, Jr.; great grandchildren, David Edwin Johnson, III, Zane Benjamin Johnson, Kyan Michael Sechen, Everett Melody, Wyatt Melody and Liam Anderson.

A son, William Maus Johnson and grandson, Michael Lee Sechen, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, also at the funeral home, with Pastor Aaron Gross officiating.

Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico Indiana.
