Lillian R. Webster

Lillian R. Webster, 93, of New Carlisle formerly of Logansport, passed away at 8:45 p.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Miller’s Merry Manor in New Carlisle.

Born February 1, 1923 in Kewanna, she was the daughter of the late Ezra and Ida (Weiger) Leazenby. On April 11, 1943, she married Richard G. Webster. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1990.

She was a graduate of the Indiana Barber College.  Lillian was a homemaker and was also a barber at Smitty’s Barber Shop in Logansport for many years.

She attended the Royal Center United Methodist Church.

Lillian was a member and Past President of V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post 3790 in Logansport and she was also a former Past 2nd District President of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.  She and her husband Richard enjoyed spending time in Florida and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Richard J. Webster (Ginger) of Georgia, Betty L. Heddens (Dale) of Michigan and Pamela S. LaBree (Tuck)of South Carolina, brother, Albert Leazenby (Shirley) of Mexico, Indiana and grandchildren, Richard Webster, Rodney Webster, Jennifer Hirdning, Anna Gibson and Christina Munz.  She is also survived by several great and great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by brother, Edward Leazenby.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Homes, Royal Center Chapel.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday, January 2, 2017 at the funeral home where there will also be a V.F.W. Ladies Aux Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m.

Burial will be at Cline Cemetery in Royal Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to the V.F.W. Ladies Aux. #3790 and/or the Royal Center United Methodist Church.
