James Wayne “Dynamite” McMahan, 74, of Rossville, formerly of Logansport, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, February 5, 2017, in Milner Community Healthcare, Rossville.

Born July 26, 1942, in Rensselaer, he was the son of the late H. Emerson and Mildred M. McMahan.

On Sept. 10, 1977, in Rensselaer, he was married to Jane (Patty) McMahan, who survives in Rossville.

Dynamite was a member of Burlington Masonic Lodge #111, Scottish Rite and Mizpah Shrine, both of Fort Wayne, York Rite, Logansport Shrine Club,  Indianapolis Firearms Club and the Order of the Eastern Star in Camden.

A Masonic memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8 in the Tipton Masonic Lodge #33, located at 1307 Smith Street in Logansport. Family and friends are invited to attend.

Burial, at a later date, will be in Ball Hill Cemetery, Cutler.
