Michael A. Young, 57, of Logansport, passed away unexpectedly from complications after suffering a recent heart attack.

Born May 23, 1959, in Logansport, he was the son of John R. “Jack” Young and Janet (Chapman) Young . His mother survives in Logansport.

A 1978 graduate of Logansport High School, Mike had worked as a truck driver with Young’s Transport and Slusser’s Green Thumb. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. Mike loved to go fishing and morel mushroom hunting.

Surviving with his mother are his daughter and son-in-law, Mikki and Gregory Vincent, of Wolverine Lake, Michigan; brother, John Richard “Rick” Young, Jr. of Logansport; one sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Richard Pattee of Logansport; two nephews, Jeremy and Kate Pattee and Nathan Pattee and one niece, Heather and Brett Bane.

He was preceded in death by his father.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Michael Young will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 11 in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Anthony Cozzello officiating.

Burial, at a later date, will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends will be received from noon until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral chapel.
