Rose F. Buttice

Rose F. Buttice, 96, of Logansport, passed away at 3:44 a.m., on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Woodbridge Health Campus.

Born on November 23, 1920 in Rockford, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Alfonzo and Sadie (Badalucco) Buttice.

On June 11, 1939, she married Joseph Buttice.  He preceded her in death on August 20, 1993.

Rose enjoyed 40 years of farm life in Carroll County. During this time, she spent numerous hours daily picking strawberries and vegetables. She enjoyed making noodles, watching game shows, and working her puzzle books. Rose also enjoyed cooking, especially her famous spaghetti and meatballs, and hosting family get-togethers for many years. Her passion was her family, most of all watching her grandchildren.

She was member of All Saints Catholic Church.

Survivors include her five children, Michael J. Buttice of Clearwater, Florida, Al Buttice (Charolette Sue) of Deer Creek, Joseph Buttice (Mary) of Greenwood, Patricia Pinkard (J.R.) of Bringhurst, and Judy Handschu (Paul) of Logansport, grandchildren, Jennifer Buttice, Joey Buttice, Rob Buttice (Renee), Mark Pinkard, Chad Handschu, Sara Handschu, Joel Handschu (Rhianna), Dana Buttice and Jennifer Pearsey (Rob), great grandchildren, Courtney Buttice, Seth Buttice, Justin Buttice (Myka), Makinzie Hicks, Morgan Watters, Megan Pearsey, Bobby Pearsey, Carli Flynn (Kevin), Heath Pinkard, Reid Pinkard, Lucas Handschu, Tyler Buttice, Cassidy Buttice and one on the way in June, great great grandchildren, Brooklyn Buttice, Drake Buttice, Bella Watters and Sophia Flynn and sisters in law, Lee Newberry, Josephine Young, Marge Buttice and Pat Cervoski.  Rose is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Our family would also like to thank Rose’s caregiver, Linda Cannaday and her special neighbor, Betty Collins.

She was also preceded in death by brother, Vincent Buttice, sisters, Catherine Alfano and Mary Cervoski and grandson, Ronald Buttice.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 17, 2017 at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
