Gladys D. “Bunny” Rude

Gladys D. “Bunny” Rude, age 87, Logansport, passed away at 11:52 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2018, in Chase Center.

Born in Logansport on April 20, 1930, she was the daughter of Walter R. and Gladys M. DeBolt Hollering.

On September 2, 1948, in Logansport, she was married to Lawrence D. Rude, who preceded her in death on May 31, 2017.

“Bunny” was a 1948 graduate of Logansport High School. She had been employed at RBM Manufacturing prior to owning and operating, with her husband, the Tap Tavern on North Third Street.

She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and All Saints Ladies Society. Her other memberships include Women of the Moose, VFW Post 3790 Auxiliary, American Legion Post 60 Auxiliary and Logansport Elkettes, where she was a charter member.

Surviving are a son, Edward Rude (Carol McConoughey), Ohio; daughter, Marla (Brian) Hardy, Logansport; brother, Walter “Bud” (Sue) Hollering, Kokomo; grandsons, Andrew Murray (Kim Lyons) and Ryan Murray (Crickitt Riewoldt); great grandchildren, Richard Riewoldt, Addison Riewoldt, Nolan Riewoldt, Ashley (Matt) Cogswell, and Floyd Murray; numerous nieces and nephews including a special great-great niece, Hannah Krintz and special great-great nephew, Hayden Krintz.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Rob Rude and Sheila Collier, sister, Beverly “Boots” Hollering and daughter-in-law, Diane Rude.

The visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 20th, with the funeral service at 3:00 p.m., all at Kroeger Funeral, with Fr. Dominic Petan officiating.
