Michael J. “Albi” Bormann, 59, of Royal Center passed away unexpectedly at 6:52 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born on July 18, 1958 in Inglewood, California, he was the son of Raymond Bormann and Geraldine Johnson.

Albi was an auto body mechanic in Royal Center for many years. He enjoyed mushroom hunting and loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed life in Royal Center, his home for nearly 50 years. He loved to have a good time and will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

Survivors include his longtime partner, Lori Solomon of Royal Center and her daughter, Sky Solomon, his children, Amber Ochoa of Davenport, Iowa and Michael Bormann (Kayla) of Port Richey, Florida, granddaughters, Sophia and Lennon Ochoa, father, Raymond Bormann of Bloomington, mother, Geraldine Jones of Logansport, brother, David Bormann of Gastonia, North Carolina, sisters, Doreen Bechard (Marc) of Carlsbad, California, Karla Conn (Mike) of Granger, Beth Tierney (Tim) of Logansport and Sheri Rist of Dunnellon, Florida. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Michele Conn, Erin Conn, Scott Conn (Rachel), Daniel Tierney, Jennifer Tierney and Shane Rist.

Visitation will be held from 3:00-6:00 p.m., Monday, April 23, 2018 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel. There will be no service following the visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Royal Center Volunteer Fire Dept. and/or First Responders.

Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Homes and Indiana Central Crematory are handling arrangements.
