Arlene M. “Billie” Scott

le” ScottArlene M. “Billie” Scott, 96, of Lake Bruce passed away peacefully Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 3:25 p.m. at Hickory Creek Healthcare Center of Rochester.

Born on February 27, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Hermar and Mildred Fern Billerbeck.

On March 31, 1943, she married Robert M. Scott at Camp Davis in Wilmington, NC. He preceded in death March 31, 1999.

Mrs. Scott lived in Kewanna and Lake Bruce, spending her winters in Las Vegas, Nev. She with her husband owned and operated Scotts Toggery in Kewanna for more than 30 years, following in the family business from the early 1900’s. They also started Bo’s Marine on Lake Bruce and Lake Manitou in 1958, one of the oldest Evinrude dealers in the U.S. Mrs. Scott was also a licensed real estate agent for over 40 years and opened Rob Scott Realty with her son in Las Vegas.

She was a former Kindergarten teacher at Kewanna School. She had studied art at I.U. Bloomington where she was Chi Omega.

She supported both Ducks and Turkeys Unlimited and was also a member of Kewanna United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include son, Robert “Bo” Scott of Lake Bruce, grandson, Shane K. Scott (Liza) and great grandson, Landon K. Scott, both of Las Vegas, NV., nieces, Gail Higgins, Elettsville and Candy Orndorff of Melbourne, FL., nephews, Hal Billerbeck of Orlando, FL., Chad Billerbeck, Trent Billerbeck and Ryan Butler, all of Las Vegas and Berry Walden of Everett, WA., 2 great nephews and 3 great nieces of Indiana and Florida.

She was also preceded in death by brother, Herbert Billerbeck and sister-in-law, Sheri Billerbeck.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, August 3, 2018 at Harrision-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel with Pastor Luann Cohn officiating.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the time of service.

Burial will be at Citizens IOOF Cemetery in Kewanna.
