Danny Johns

Danny Johns, 71, Logansport, passed away at 5:55 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor.

Born in Lafayette, he was the son of Keith M. and Mildred R. Newell Johns. His mother survives in Logansport.

On March 13, 1965, in Logansport, he was married to Beverly (Isom) Johns, who survives.

Danny attended Pioneer High School. He lived in the Logansport area most of his life but spent eight years in Florida where he enjoyed the area and the great weather. Danny owned and operated Danny’s Phillips 66 on West Market Street.

Danny was a member of the Moose Lodge #232 for 38 years. He was also a member of United Commercial Travelers.

Danny never met a stranger. He was an avid mushroom hunter and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving with his wife and mother are one son, Troy (Dianna) Johns, Lognapsort, two granddaughters, Holly and Ashley; one great-granddaughter, Addaley; two sisters, Connie Keplinger and Anita (Tom) Hayden, all of Logansport; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Keith Johns; sisters, Shirley Huse, Linda West and Barbara Price; and brothers, Donald, Jerry and Charles “Dick” Johns.

A memorial service celebrating Danny’s life will be held at noon on Tuesday August 28 in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Kelly Spencer officiating.

Burial will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 10 a,m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.

The family would like to thank Miller’s Merry Manor and Guardian Angel Hospice for the loving care they provided to Danny.
