Steven Daniel Woodruff

Steven Daniel Woodruff, 77, of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo, Indiana.

Born on June 3, 1941 in Clinton County, Indiana, he is the son of the late Clyde and Hila (Curtis) Woodruff. On October 15, 1961 at the Pipe Creek Church in Miami County, Indiana, he married Janelle Hopper who survives.

“Dan” worked as a supervisor at Chrysler for 36 years. He was a 1959 graduate of Jackson Township High School and a member of the Pipe Creek Church of the Brethren. Dan enjoyed many hobbies including, golfing, woodworking, hunting, fishing (enough to earn the nickname, “Papaw fish”) and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving along with his wife Janelle, are his three children, Troy (Mary) Woodruff, Logansport; Lisa (John) Smith, Kewanna; Tycn (Erica) Woodruff, Walton; Grandchildren, Jamae Woodruff, Steven (Ashley Maroney) Woodruff, Abbie (Rich Reinhold) Smith, Morgan (Gunnar) Paugh; Riley Woodruff and Zakkary Woodruff; step grandchildren, Alexis Zainey, Rachael Zainey, Victoria Zainey and Samuel Zainey; great grandchildren, Marleigh Woodruff, Rylan Toro and Mitchel Albright ; brother, Barry (Doris) Woodruff, Frankfort.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother in law, Ronald Johnson, and his father and mother in law, George and Grace Hopper.

A celebration of life will be held on 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 27, 2018 in the Gundrum Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, October 26, 2018 in the Gundrum Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Lung Cancer Research Association.
