William G. “Bill” Helvie

William G. “Bill” Helvie, 57 of Royal Center passed away unexpectedly at 10:00 p.m., Saturday, September 29, 2018 at his residence.

Born on January 20, 1961 in Logansport, he was the son of Glen Helvie and Margaret Bender.

Bill was a longtime exhibitor at festivals and other events for many years.

He enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing.

Bill attended Center Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Cheyenne Helvie of Royal Center, mother, Margaret Killion of Peru, and brothers, John Helvie of Peru, Ted Helvie (Kaifeng) of Royal Center and David Helvie (Julie) of Marcell, Minnesota, step mother, Kathleen Helvie of Logansport. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his father, Glen Helvie, and sister in law, Madelyn Helvie.

Services for Bill will be at 2:30 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2018 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Monte Adams officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Burial will follow at Metea Cemetery.
