Joseph D. Hulsizer

Joseph D. Hulsizer, 79 of Logansport, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 at Chase Center in Logansport.

Born on July 10, 1939 in Logansport, Indiana, Joe is the son of the late Jacob B. and Isel (Cook) Hulsizer.  On July 5, 1958 in Logansport, he married Virginia “Jenny” M. Sturgeon who preceded in death on March 12, 1996.  On December 20, 1997 in Logansport he married Sandra J. Hipsher-Anderson who survives.

Joe retired from Motion Controls in 1997 after 20 years of service. He played in the band “Country Beats” and enjoyed karaoke.

Surviving along with his wife Sandra of Logansport are four children, Pam A. (Jay) Fink, Logansport; Julie M. (Richard) Rottet; Wendy M. Wiggins, Joseph M. (Deb) Hulsizer, all of Logansport; step children, Melissa (Art) Newman, Winamac; Lisa Penny; Michael (Karen) Deitrich, Robert Deitrich, all of Logansport; grandchildren, Sara Fink; Kayla (Dan) Foster; Jenifer (Cody) Kraay; Briana Boehme; Brandi Boehme; Kendra Wiggins; Shelby (Philip) Widner; Britany Wiggins; Adam Fink; Nicholas Rottet; Zach Rottet and Darius Rottet; 16 great grandchildren, sister in law, Shirley Hulsizer; brother in law, Ernest Hipsher, all of Logansport; several step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Hulsizer; step son, Daryl Deitrich; and step grandson Adam Deitrich.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at the Gundrum Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the St. Johns Cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home
