Patricia A. Azbell

Patricia A. Azbell, 75, Logansport, formerly of Rochester, passed away at 9:05 a.m. Sunday, February 10, 2019, in the Woodbridge Health Campus.

​ Born November 11, 1942, she was the daughter of the late J. Harold  and Mary E.(Humberd)  Stayer. ​ ​ A 1960 graduate of Flora High School, Pat also graduated from the Indiana Business College in Lafayette. ​

​ She was married December 14, 1963 to Charles G. Azbell, who survives  Her grandfather, Rev. R.I. Humberd, officiated at the ceremony.  The couple recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. ​ ​

Pat belonged to the Logansport Mother of Twins Club.  She was also a member of the Fulton County Coral Club in Rochester and the Sentimental Journey Band in Bourbon, Indiana, where fifty years ago, she picked up her horn to play Big Band Music. Pat was a wonderful baker and was known in many states for the cookies she would send to her family and friends. ​ ​

Surviving with her husband are the greatest joys in her life – her children:  Son, Douglas (Lori) Azbell, Evans, GA, Daughter, Sheryl Azbell and Son, Jeff Azbell, both of Logansport; her grandchildren: Elizabeth (Jake) Torres,of Logansport, Kelly Azbell, Evans, GA and Charles J. Azbell, Statesboro, GA; great-grandchildren, Aaron Huff,  Adilynn Huff, and, Josiah Torres, her sister, Joyce Taylor, Warsaw, a special niece, Lona Taylor, Holland, MI; and several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.  ​ ​

A Funeral Service celebrating the life of Patricia Azbell will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, February 13 in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Rev. Phil Pratt officiating.​ ​ Friends will be received  from 2 p.m. Wednesday until the time of the service. ​ ​
