Evelyn Slusser Colsten Minks, 92, of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport.

She was born on May 7, 1926 in Carroll County, Indiana to the late Parker and Ruth (Sherman) Slusser.

Evelyn was a teacher of Special Education for Merced County California for 20 years and did Missionary work in Taiwan ROC for OMS International for 4 years. She was a graduate of Adams Township School in Carroll County and a graduate of Cal State University in Los Angeles. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and she loved to have and attend garage sales and auctions. Evelyn enjoyed music, reading and her children and grandchildren.

Surviving is her daughter, Jeralyn (Ken) Kurts of Indianapolis, IN; son, Rev. Bruce (Trudy) Colsten of Grove City, OH; sister, Gertrude Slusser of Francesville, IN; Sister-In-Law, Dorothy Slusser of Francesville, IN; grandson, Benjamin Colsten of Toledo, OH; granddaughter, Tiffany Colsten of Indianapolis, IN; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Wilson and two brothers, Allen Slusser and Ralph Slusser.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Gundrum Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. Horace Smith officiating.. Burial will follow in the Ball Hill Cemetery, Cutler, IN.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of service on Saturday.
