Jack A. Samuels, age 80, Lake Cicott, passed away at 7:55 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2019, in his residence.

Born in Logansport on March 3, 1939, he was the son of Ernest and Alverta Randolph Samuels.

On June 15, 1960 in Logansport, Jack was married to Carolyn Barnett, who survives.

Jack was a retired TechSgt in the United States Air Force, where he served in Guam and two tours of duty in Viet Nam. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 60.

After military retirement he was employed by NIPSCO, where he also retired.

A 1956 graduate of Logansport High School, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, drawing and painting.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons, Robert Samuels, Peru, and Brian Samuels, Rochester; brother, Norman (Nancy) Samuels; sister, Wanda Hunt, Delphi.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Alyssa Samuels and Briana Samuels (Brett McClatchey); great grandchildren, Edwin Moran, Pedro Fernandez, Azalea Moran, Enrique Fernandez, Sebastian Fernandez and Braelyana McClatchey; several nieces and nephews.

A son, Larry Samuels, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 24, 2019, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. with the funeral service at 4:00 p.m., also on Wednesday, all at Kroeger Funeral Home. Rev. Ken Smith will officiate.

Full military honors will be provided by uniformed members of the  United States Air Force and the local Military Honor Detail.
