Kylene R. ‘Ky’ Sickafus, 38, Peru, passed away at 3:57 a.m., on Friday, April 12, 2019, in her residence.

Kylene Sickafus

Born in Logansport on November 5, 1980, she was the daughter of Charles R. and Tammy R. Chambers Campbell, who survive in Logansport.

On May 12, 2010, in Logansport, Kylene was married to William A. ‘Billy’ Sickafus, who survives.

Ky was the greatest wife, most wonderful daughter, and above all, she was an extra-protective mother.  She was the most wonderful person, inside and out, and a best friend to all.

Kylene began working at Security Federal 15 years ago in the position of teller, then most recently, a loan originator.  She loved her work at the bank.

She was a member of the Logansport Noon Kiwanis club, where she enjoyed the Tuesday meetings and the things they did for children.

Ky put everyone else before herself, dedicating herself to the needs of others.  It was 100% Billy/children/family/Security Federal.  She was all about her children and their involvements, never missing any event.  She loved being at every sporting event.

Kylene was the keeper of the house.  She was always the first one to rise in the morning, and the last one down at the end of the day.  She not only mowed the lawn, she ran the weed eater, as well.

As a loving mother, nothing was ever too much, as it had to be done and more importantly, it needed to be right, even to the last leaf in the swimming pool.  In her eyes, she just ‘kept it simple’ and worried that others needed to get their rest each day.

Ky never worried about her own dreams; she just always followed Billy’s, so they would come true.

She was the momma bear known to stop everything at any given time to check on her cubs, Mal, Owie, Bam and Syd Kid.  Even through the last grueling months, Momma Bear always stayed positive with her beautiful smile, even with her last breath in life.

Also surviving are children, Malloreigh R. Clippard and Owen D. Clippard, both of Peru, and Sydney K. Sickafus and Brayden A. Sickafus, both of Wabash; brother, Chad R. (Amber) Campbell, Walton; and maternal grandmother, Ethel Campbell, Logansport.  In addition, are uncles, Tom (Joni) Chambers, Terry (Charlene) Chambers, Tim (Julee) Chambers, and Mike (Jill) Campbell; aunt, Vicki (Jeff) McGuire; niece, Cammie Campbell; nephews, Bryant Landis and Austin Mowery, and several great aunts, great uncles, and cousins.

Kylene was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Tom and Jenny Chambers, and paternal grandfather, Charlie Campbell.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 14, 2019, from 10:00 a.m., until 2:00 p.m., at Kroeger Funeral Home, with the service following immediately afterward, with Rev. Dean Snyder officiating.

Burial will be private in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Logansport Noon Kiwanis Charitable Trust, P.O. Box 11, Logansport, 46947.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
