Betty Jo Doty, 72, of Kewanna passed away unexpectedly at 1:55 a.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at her residence.
Born on November 9, 1945 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of the late Charles “Abie” and Ruby (Henderson) Baldwin.
Betty Jo was a 1964 Kewanna High School graduate.
On October 23, 1965 she married Michael H. Doty in Kewanna, he survives.
Betty Jo was a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreen’s in Rochester for over 15 years. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed cooking, garage sales and spending time with her family especially all of her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Michael W. Doty of Kewanna, son, Todd M. Doty (Cristi) of Twelve Mile, grandchildren, Amber Esteban (Emmanuel), Quinton Doty, Keegan Doty, Hunter S. Doty, Sydney B. Doty, Andrew J. Doty, and Dawson J. Doty, and daughter in law, Trina Doty of Kewanna. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Olivia and Gracelynn.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Brian Doty.
Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 3, 2019 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home & Crematory.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Bruce Lake Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
