Don E. “Oss” Conn, Jr., 90, a proud lifelong resident of Royal Center passed away peacefully at 1:22 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2019 at Chase Center in Logansport.
Born on April 22, 1929 in Royal Center, he was the son of the late Donald E. and Gel (Chapman) Conn, Sr.
He was a Royal Center High School graduate.
Oss was a United States Marine Corps veteran serving in the Korean War.
On June 17, 1951 he married Jean Kelly. She preceded him in death on March 7, 2009.
Oss was a retired carpenter.
He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW in Logansport. Oss was an avid golfer for over 80 years. He was a charter member of Pondview Golf Club. He enjoyed watching basketball and golf. He and Jean took great pride in their family and especially enjoyed watching their grandchildren grow up.
Survivors include sons, Michael Conn (Karla) and Don Conn III (Barb), daughter, Patti Elliott (Buz) and grandchildren, Michele Conn, Erin Conn, Scott Conn, Kirk Elliott, Eric Elliott, Bret Elliott, Khara Ringen, Krysta Abrams and Donald “Jake” Conn IV. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by brother, James Conn and sister, Rebecca Raymer.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pondview Snowball Charitable Fund.
The family would like to thank Logansport Memorial Hospital and Kindred Hospice.
