“Adam bug” Scott, 40 of Logansport passed away peacefully at 9:41 a.m., Monday, August 26, 2019 at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born on August 21, 1979 in Demorest, Georgia, he was the son of Jerry Lamar and Norma (Sturgill) Scott.

Adam was a 2001 graduate of West Jefferson High School in Lafayette.

He was a member of the Baptist Church Action Club and he also participated each in the Special Olympics. Adam enjoyed sports, music, Hotwheel cars, coloring, hunting and anything to do with the Army. He also enjoyed collecting hats and shoes. Adam Bug never met a stranger and brought a lot of joy to many.

Survivors include his mother, Norma Horton of Logansport, father, Jerry Scott (Donnabelle Willis) of Camden, brothers, Carl L. Scott (Tina) of Cutler, Jeffery L. Scott of Logansport, sisters, Roni Smith (Robbie) of Star City and Wendy Roland (Bob) of Idaville, grandmother, Bernice Scott of Camden, step father, David Horton (Robin) of Louisiana, and step grandmother, Joan Horton of Louisiana. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by brother, Jeremy Scott, and grandparents, George and Juanita Reed, Boyce Scott and Ivylee Horton and his beloved dog, Zoey.

Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 30, 2019 at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel in Logansport.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Davis Cemetery in Burnettsville.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
