Ann “Sharon” Anspach, 80, Logansport, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, Sept. 11, 2019, in her home.

Born May 26, 1939, in Starke County, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Glen B. and Frances L. (Ford) VanDeman.

Sharon was retired from Essroc where she worked in the office and was the unofficial official party planner for over 30 years.

As a loving mother, Sharon raised her family in the faith as a member of the former St. Bridget’s Catholic Church. In addition to displaying a strong work ethic at Essroc, her hands were always at work whether baking, crafting or caring for her family. Sharon also loved to read.

For over 50 years, she enjoyed the camaraderie of her Bunco and Euchre club friends. Sharon was also an avid fan of Peyton Manning and Michael Jordan. Sharon loved spending time with her family and friends and loved planning parties for them, too.

She is survived by four children: Becky Grogg, Logansport, Christi Harris, Rossville, Cindy Anspach, Lafayette, and Scott Anspach, Chapel Hill, NC; one brother, David VanDeman, Grand Junction, CO; two sisters, Lynn VanDeman, Mishawaka, and Debbie Whisler, Richmond, VA; ten grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Pat Fingerhut.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date this fall.
