Donald E. Grafton

Donald E. Grafton, 89, of Royal Center passed away peacefully at 12:00 p.m., Monday, September 23, 2019 at AMG Specialty Hospital in Muncie.

He was born on July 23, 1930 in Cass County.

Don was a 1949 Royal Center High School graduate. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

On October 25, 1957 he married Ruth A. Packard, she survives.

Don retired in 1991 from Chrysler in Kokomo after 35 years.

He was a member of Baptist Christian Church and the UAW Union #685 in Kokomo. Don enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, playing euchre and fixing ball gloves.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Grafton of Royal Center, daughter, Pam Miller (Rick) of St. Cloud, Florida, son, Steve McFatridge (Lenka) of California and sister, Joyce Hanna (Herbie) of Lucerne. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nina (Minthorn) Grafton, son, Gary Grafton, daughter, Janice Moser and sister, Jane Heater.

Services will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel with visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

Burial with military rites will be performed at Kistler Cemetery, Royal Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to Baptist Christian Church Crusader’s Club.
