Katherine Marie (Kathy) Jenkins, age 79, Logansport, passed away at 11:25 am Saturday, October 5, 2019, at St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana in Carmel.
Kathy was born May 10, 1940, in Deer Creek. She was the daughter of Wayne and Frances Shotts Lantz.
She married Roger Jenkins on May 17, 1974. He survives.
Kathy retired from Kokomo Transmission Plant in 1997 and previously had worked several years at RBM Manufacturing.
Kathy was an avid animal lover with three dogs and two cats. She was constantly on the hunt for bigfoot and loved her family very much.
In addition to her husband, surviving are children, Robert Upton (Patsy), James Upton (Diane), Lynda Zimmerman, Terri (Randy) Crowe, and Angie (Thomas) Jenkins- Frazee; grandchildren, Megan (Steve) Gasho, Stephanie Frye (Jeremy), Katie Thacker (Jason), Zachariah Zimmerman (Holley), Patrick Upton, Jared Upton, Hunter Upton,Danielle Crowe, Brandon Crowe, Jaxton Collins, and several great grandchildren.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Frances Lantz; grandchildren, Andrew Upton, Shane Upton; and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at Kroeger Funeral Home, with the Funeral Service and Celebration of Life at 1:30 p.m., also at the funeral home. Mr. Ralph Shotts will officiate.
Entombment will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
