Louise E. Sigafoose

Louise E. Sigafoose, age 82, Logansport, passed away on Thanksgiving evening, November 28, 2019, in Franciscan Health Lafayette East.

Born November 22, 1937, in Danville, Ill., she was the daughter of Louis and Leola Oehmke.

A 1955 graduate of Logansport High School, Louise was the Chapter Director of the Cass County Red Cross for 26 years. At the Red Cross she taught numerous classes including sign language.

She was employed as secretary at the River of Life Christian Church for ten years, where she was a member.

She volunteered for the Parent-Teacher Counselors Organization (PTCO) at the Indiana Deaf School in Indianapolis.

Louise enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Dr. Phil. She also enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, decorating cakes, doing handicrafts and sitting on her deck when it was warm outside. She loved animals, especially pigs, as well as snowmen and lighthouses. Louise was a die-hard fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Blackhawks and Indianapolis Colts.

Surviving are a son, Curtis E. Sigafoose, Indianapolis; daughter, Roxana L. Sigafoose, Columbus, Ohio; nephew, Ed (Judy) Keplinger; numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Paul Reeser.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 5th, with a funeral service and Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, both at Kroeger Funeral Home. Pastor Betsy Arnold will officiate.
