Michelle Lynn Harmon, 42, Logansport, passed away unexpectedly at 6:11 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2019, in the emergency room of Memorial Hospital following a sudden pulmonary embolism.

Born November 10, 1977, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, she was the daughter of John and Kathy (Ross) Delaney, who survive in Logansport.

On June 5, 2003, in Logansport, she was married to Brian Harmon, who survives.

Michelle was a 1995 graduate of Logansport High School. in 1999, she received her Bachelor of Science from Indiana University-Kokomo’s School of Education. Michelle earned her Master of Science in Education in 2005 from Indiana University – Bloomington. Her deep love of children led to her career in education. For the past four years, Michelle was a much-loved special education teacher at the Columbia 6th Grade Academy. Prior to that, she had taught for thirteen years at Pioneer Elementary.

A member of the Cornerstone Community Bible Church, Michelle participated in the church’s small group. Her deep faith was her source of strength through the ups and downs of life. Michelle would hope that anyone reading her obituary would live life knowing that tomorrow is never promised but where you spend Eternity is certain.

Following the loss of her baby, Isabella, Michelle became part of the M.O.B. Squad – a sisterhood of mothers who have also lost precious babies. Michelle was also an ardent supporter of Cass County Special Olympics. She volunteered her time to serve as a guardian for patients at Camelot Care Center.

Michelle loved to read. Books were a passion. Her mind was always busy whether it be working crossword puzzles, playing computer games or being an armchair detective while watching crime shows on television. She was a big fan of scary movies. Michelle also had a special afifnity for dolphins.

We will never be able to measure Michelle’s impact in this world, but knowing that her life lives on through one final gift of love – that of being an organ and tissue donor – offers a measure of comfort and reflects her loving and giving spirit.
