Rene’ D. (Vernon) Kindlesparker

Rene’ D. (Vernon) Kindlesparker, 55 of Carmel, formerly of Logansport, passed away Friday, December 13, 2019 in her residence.

Born on February 28, 1964 in Logansport, she is the daughter to the late William “Bill” and Diane (Vaughan) Vernon. On December 31, 1999 she married Mark A. Kindlesparker who survives.

Rene was a 1982 graduate of Logansport High School. Except for the 7 years she worked at Elco/Textron, Rene’ spent most of her life in management; whether it was restaurant, medical records, or the home repair and remodel company she and her husband successfully ran for many years.

A self-proclaimed “Mellen-head”, she loved going to concerts and sporting events. She was an avid fan of college basketball and NFL football. The most important roles that she played in her life, was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Surviving along with her husband Mark, is a daughter, Carol Anne Jones of Carmel, IN; two step daughters, Traci (Troy) Blackman of Fulton, IN, Kassi (Pedro (Felix)) Kindlesparker and their 2 children of Scottsdale, AZ; step son, Lukus (Brynn) Kindlesparker and their 4 children of Nashville, TN; grandson, Boston Blackman of Fulton, IN; granddaughter, Berklee (Luke) Sutton of Fulton, IN and their child ; two sisters, Kaye (Andy) Simmons of Cicero, IN, Leslie (Rick) Ricks of Logansport, IN; brother, Christopher Vernon of Avon, IN; Preceded in death by her brother, William “Bill” K. Vernon, brother, Stanley L. Vernon, son, Steven D. Tabler, Jr., son in law, Staff Sgt Benjamin Jones.

A celebration of Rene’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Tim McKaig officiating.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the William K. Vernon Memorial Scholarship, via the Community State Bank in Royal Center or Walton. Envelopes will also available at the funeral home.
