Robert R. Burns, 88 of Logansport, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Chase Center in Logansport.
Born on January 31, 1931 in Fulton, Indiana, he is the son to the late Robert E. and Mildred (Calaway) Burns. On April 5, 1953 in Logansport, he married Ardis Saralei Perkins who preceded in death on September 11, 2017.
Robert worked as a teacher at Columbia Middle School for 27 years He is a United States Coast Guard Veteran and a former member of the American Kennel Club.
Surviving Robert are four sons, Richard Martin “Marty” (Kim) Burns, Rochester; Gary Burns, Georgie; Jon (Nanci) Burns, Rochester; Dan (Lisa) Burns, Kokomo; daughter, Tracy (Larry) Ogan, Macy, IN; sister, Doris Casassa, Monticello; several grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Carolyn Runkle, Mary Jo Bean, Dorothy Miller and Shirley Naugle.
