Doranne J. Heimlich, 87, Logansport, passed away at 3:41 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, in her residence.
Born November 4, 1932, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Henry and Meribah Koons Kraut.
On December 26, 1950, in St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, she was married to James C. Heimlich, who preceded her in death on May 1, 2013.
Surviving are two daughters, Denise Heimlich, Columbia, SC, and Janelle Heimlich, Logansport; grandchildren, Jessika Ponsler and Chad Ponsler (finace Shannon Sacksteder).
Doranne was a life-long, staunch member of St. James Ev. Lutheran Church and the Church’s Mary-Martha Guild.
She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
Doranne enjoyed helping people and never met a person she couldn’t talk to.
Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2019, at St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, with Pastor K. C. Dehning officiating.
Private burial will follow.
