Edsel Wilson Hults, age 94, of Logansport, passed away Sunday Jan. 5, 2020 in Woodbridge Health Campus.

Born March 17, 1925 in Logansport to the late Floyd R. and Pearl Marie (Wilson) Hults. On June 5, 1947 in Plymouth, IN he married Dorothy Schreyer who survives.

Edsel served his country as a paratrooper in the Army during WW2, serving with the 82nd Airborne Division. He then went to work for the Pennsylvania Railroad and later Exide Battery Corp., where he retired from. Edsel enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending his winters in Florida.

Surviving along with his wife Dorothy are two sons, David F. (Mary Lou) Hults, Travares, FL; Kerry F. (Vickie) Hults, Logansport; daughter, Karen L. (Glen) Smith, Logansport; sister, Linda Schlick, Logansport; brother, Wayne P. ( Mary Jo) Hults, Hot Springs, AR; eight grandchildren, Tonya (Neil) Myers, Karla (Chris) Costner, Jessica Smith, Brad Smith, Erin Nowak, Angela Townsend, Tom Henry and Todd Nowak; eighteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Hults and one sister Hazel Zimmerman.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday Jan. 8, 2019 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Zimmerman and Pastor Andy Weil officiating. Full military rites will be conducted by the Cass County Honor Guard and burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery near Logansport.

A visitation will be held from 3 -7 p.m. Tuesday January 7, 2020 in the Gundrum Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Cass County Honor Guard.
