Vivian A. Knepper

Vivian A. Knepper, 96, Logansport, passed away peacefully Monday, December 30, 2019, in Miller’s Merry Manor.

Born November 7, 1923, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Fred R. and Alice J. (Lowe) Daniels .

A 1941 graduate of Logansport High School, Vivian enjoyed reunions and lunch gatherings with her classmates.

On August 8, 1941, in Indianapolis, Vivian was married to Charles A. Knepper, who preceded her in death June 11, 1997.

She worked for 15 years as a seamstress and inspector at the H.W. Gossard factory and later, for 12 1/2 years, she worked as a jewelry clerk at Fernbaugh’s.

Vivian attended Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was a member of the Elkettes #66. She enjoyed a good game of cards and Saturday nights in front of the television with Lawrence Welk.She was an excellent seamstress.

Vivian loved big band music and had quite the collection of vinyls. She also loved going to the concerts featuring the Kokomo Park Band – especially when her son, Bruce, was playing trumpet. The greatest joy in her life was her family and friends and she always looked forward to entertaining them at her home when they came to visit.

Surviving are two sons, Charles “Tom” Knepper, Logansport, and Bruce Alan (Kelley) Knepper. Lafayette, step-son, Bryan (Linda)Knepper, Berea, Ohio; two grandsons, Thomas C. (Barb) Knepper, and Kyle C. Knepper, three step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, Ashley (John) Fry and Amanda Knepper; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Vivian was preceded in death by two brothers, Dick and Ed Daniels; one sister, Mary Shedron; one grandson, Kirk Knepper; and her daughter-in-law, Romona Knepper.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 4 in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Pastor Brandon Hudson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, January 3 in the funeral chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hillcrest Baptist Church or the Kokomo Park Band, Inc.
