Gary L. Knapp

Gary L. Knapp, age 64, Logansport, passed away at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 2, 2020, in his residence surrounded by his family.

Born November 8, 1955, in Cass County, he was the son of Jack Lee and Carol Jean Ross Williams. As a child, Gary’s mother married Bob Knapp, who adopted Gary.

He was married to Connie Logan on August 11, 1990. She preceded him in death on December 1, 2018.

Gary was employed by Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA), Lafayette, from 1995 until his retirement in February, 2019. Previously he had been employed by Wilson Foods until it closed.

Gary enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and being with his friends at BDubs (Buffalo Wild Wings).

Surviving are a son, Alexander Knapp, Rossville; daughter, Emma L. (Matthew) Jones, Logansport; siblings, Terry (Patty) Knapp, Sue (Wes) Raderstorf, Kim (Andy) Tibbets, John (Jackie) Knapp, Bobby Knapp and J. D. Knapp; fourteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Also surviving are step-sons, Shannon (Andrea) McIntire, Frankfort, Eric (Rebecca) McIntire, Rochester, Brandon (April) McIntire, Fort Wayne; brother-in-law, Dale Logan, Lake Cicott; sisters-in-law, Dixie Becker, Logansport, Nita (Brad) Pool, Cindy (Rex) Whitmore, Rhonda (Al) Dye and Sandra (Don) Weida, all of Monticello.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at Kroeger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 6th, also at Kroeger Funeral Home, with Rev. Ken Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in Davis Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County Humane Society, 700 Water Street, Logansport 46947.

The family wishes to thank Kindred Hospice and especially Ana Ortiz and Sandy Bowyer for their excellent and compassionate care of Gary until the end.
