Dana Joe Gillum

Dana Joe Gillum, 64, of Camden, passed away on March 4, 2020 in his residence surrounded by his family.

Born June 2, 1955 in Logansport, IN, he was the son of Donald and Judith (Peterson) Gillum.

On October 7, 1995 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Dana married Melinda Lou Clements.

Dana worked as an electrician at Chrysler in Kokomo. He was a proud member of IBEW Local 668 and UAW 685.

Dana was a faithful member of Elks Lodge #66. He loved to golf year-round and had recently got to enjoy golfing in Hawaii with Melinda.  He was an avid Cubs fan and also liked watching the Indianapolis Colts.  Most important to him, however, was his friends and family and he cherished the time he got to spend with them.

Surviving along with his wife Melinda is one son, Brent (Angela) Gillum, Monticello, IN; daughter, Kimla Gillum, Headlee, IN; step-son, Cody Valdez, Freehold, NJ; brother, Peter Gillum, Beechgrove, TN; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2020 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Logansport’s Elks Lodge #66, 1100 North 3rd Street in Logansport.
