Republic Services Update for Logansport residents

Last Updated on April 27, 2020 by City of Logansport – Mayor's Office

SOURCE: News release from the Office of Logansport Mayor Chris Martin

UPDATE as of April 27, 2020:

Due to the increase in Coronavirus positive numbers Republic Services has decided to NOT RESUME the sale of the pre-paid bag and bulk $1 Refuse Stickers until further notice.

UPDATE as of April 22, 2020: The Mayor’s Office received a call from Republic as a recording. The recording says that Republic will resume bulk and yard waste effective April 27. They are asking people to please be patient as they begin this process back up again.

ORIGINAL POST:

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: In the wake of this International pandemic, Republic Services suspends bulk trash collection meaning businesses will need to stop selling the dollar stickers as well as the public needs to refrain from using any stickers that they already had until we are through the pandemic. Please refrain from placing additional trash bags or bulk items outside your trash carts until further notice. They will only be picking up cart contents at this time.

We understand this is inconvenient, but it is necessary at this time. This service puts the Republic Services workers at greater risk when required to get out of their trucks to collect these bulk items. We will send a notice when the service has been reinstated.
