Sandra Sue Casalini

Sandra Sue Casalini,  “Shortcake”, 78, of Logansport passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday morning March 8, 2020.

Born on June 21, 1941 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Mary Jane (Burk) Cabiness.

Sue was a 1959 Logansport High School graduate.

On November 10, 1961 she married Joseph B. Casalini, he survives.

Sue’s children and grandchildren meant everything to her. She adored them and loved to spend time with them and share about them.  She and Joe were often the first to arrive at their son Mike’s wrestling matches. They enjoyed many summers on Lake Manitou, where Mike loved to ski.  Later they were able to watch their grandchildren tubing on the lake. “Mammaw” attended every event for her grandchildren that she could.  She helped care for them when they were young, and she spent countless hours talking with them when they were older. She was always excited for them and extremely proud of them. She showered them with love. Sue enjoyed visiting Pompano Beach, Florida, for most of her life. Many memorable family dinners occurred there, especially at Frank’s Ristorante.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph B. Casalini of Logansport, daughter, Elizabeth Casalini of Indianapolis, sister, Jean Carr of California, grandchildren, Justin Casalini, Megan Casalini, Lexi Howard, Joseph Loposser, Sophia Loposser and Mia Loposser, daughter in law, Lisa Howard (Kirk) of Florida, sisters in law, Pat Byers (John) of Logansport, Mary Ann Kelly (Henry) of Kokomo, and Sophie Rogers (Jamie) of Logansport and brothers in law, Donald Casalini (Cathey) of North Carolina, Ernest Casalini (Sue) of Florida and Thomas Casalini of Zionsville.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
