Serena Rose ‘Rena’ Jarvis

Serena Rose ‘Rena’ Jarvis, 19, Logansport, passed away in Lutheran Hospital, on Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

Born in Logansport on July 31, 2000, she was the daughter of Antonio Perez (wife, Megan) who survive in Peru, and Kailei Jarvis (fiancé, Chris Mecklenburg), who survive in West Lafayette.

Rena was a student at Indiana University-Kokomo and loved spending time on social media.  She loved animals and always dreamed of being a veterinarian.

Knowing that her life would carry on, she was honored to be an organ and tissue donor.

Also surviving are half-brothers, Cameron and Curtis Perez, Peru; half-sisters, Candace Perez, Peru, Emime Jarvis and Alayna Mecklenburg, both of West Lafayette; maternal grandmother, Roberta Jarvis, Logansport; maternal grandfather, Ted Jarvis, maternal great grandmother, Rosa Hartle, Kokomo; paternal grandmother, Jayne Perez, Peru; good friend, Michael Leckrone, Frankfort; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding Rena in death was her paternal grandfather, Armando Perez.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., on Monday, March 9, 2020, at Kroeger Funeral Home, with the service following at 2:00 p.m.  Rev. Aaron Gross will officiate.

Interment will be at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be payable to Kroeger Funeral Home to assist the family in Rena’s funeral expenses.
