Zetta Zimmerman

Zetta Zimmerman, 67, of Logansport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 1, 2020, surrounded by her family in her home.

Born on January 23, 1953 in Tipton, Indiana, she is the daughter to the late Robert and Patricia (Snyder) Cain.  On June 5, 1971, in Kokomo, she married Philip Zimmerman who survives.

Zetta worked at Logansport Memorial Hospital for 28 years as a nursing assistant and during that time, also provided home health care for many families in the area. She was a 1971 graduate of Lewis Cass High School and enjoyed collecting angels.  Family and friends were the most important to her, she cherished the time she got to spend with them, especially her grandchildren and her best friend Judy Baber.

Zetta loved interacting with her customers at the Boardwalk Cafe. She always had a smile and a hug for each one of them. She was a member of Anoka United Methodist Church.

Surviving along with her husband Philip, is a daughter, Patricia (Bryon) Stephens of Logansport, IN; three sons, Robert S. (Beth) Zimmerman of Logansport, IN, David (Teresa) Zimmerman of Logansport, IN, Philip (Rinita) Zimmerman II of Lucerne, IN; sister, Teresa (Michael) Ayers of Logansport, IN; five granddaughters, Hope (Erik) Contreras of Walton, IN, Jasmine Zimmerman of Logansport, IN, Emily Raderstorf of Lafayette, IN, Morgan Rozzi of Logansport, IN, Kylie Rozzi of Logansport, IN; eight grandsons, Clay Zimmerman of Bloomington, IN, Riley Hershberger of Logansport, IN, Jaxson Zimmerman of Logansport, IN, Braydon (Stephanie) Wilkerson of Logansport, IN, Emmit Zimmerman of Lucerne, IN, Nathaniel Zimmerman of Logansport, IN, Colten Rozzi of Logansport, IN, Kalin Sherwood of Logansport, IN; two great-granddaughters, Mia Fuller of Logansport, Austyn Wilkerson of Logansport, IN; two great-grandsons, Oliver Contreras of Walton, IN, Jaidyn Martens of Logansport, IN; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Cain, mother, Patricia Cain and sister, Vicki Coffing.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Galveston Cemetery, Galveston, IN.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, also in the Gundrum Funeral Home.
