SOURCE: News release from Logansport Memorial Hospital

For this week only, the hours of operation at Express Medical Center have been shortened.

Beginning today (Monday, July 27) through Sunday, August 2, Express Medical Center will be open from 8:30 a.m. –5 p.m. Monday –Friday, from 10 a.m. –5 p.m. Saturday, and from 12 noon –5 p.m. on Sunday.

Please be aware that our recent transition to our new electronic health record was launched last week, and is still causing delays with registration that lead to longer wait times. We ask for your continued patience with our staff during this time, as these delays will be temporary but are still part of our new process right now. Please remember to bring your driver’s license and insurance card with you to any medical appointment, including for COVID-19 testing.

REVISED COVID-19 TESTING PROCESS:

With the recent spike in COVID-19 cases in Cass County, Logansport Memorial Hospital and the Cass County Health Department (CCHD) are partnering once again to revise the COVID-19 testing process and availability for local residents. The revised process for where to go to receive testing is as follows:

For testing at Express Medical Center:

  • You must be symptomatic (have symptoms) and be willing to see an Express Medical Center provider for evaluation.
  • You must be scheduled for surgery and need COVID-19 testing before your surgery date. Testing for surgery is only available from 8:30 a.m. –3 p.m., Monday –Friday.

For all other COVID-19 testing:

The Cass County Health Department will offer COVID-19 testing for people who believe they have been exposed to COVID-19, or if they are symptomatic.

At this time, testing will be offered on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:45 –9:45 a.m. These scheduled days and hours are subject to change, based on community need.

Walk-ins are welcome at the Cass County Health Department, but it is recommended that you call ahead and make an appointment: (574) 753-7760. The CCHD is located at 512 High Street in Logansport.
