Dustin Joe Hopper

Dustin Joe Hopper, 42, of Zionsville formerly of Logansport and Anderson passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Dustin’s fiancé, Jill Shallenberger, also passed away from the accident.

Born on September 10, 1978 in Anderson, Indiana, Dustin was the son of Danny Hopper and Kimberly Decker. He was raised by his loving grandparents, Perry and Joyce Hopper.

Dustin had so much admiration for Perry (Dad) and Joyce (Mom) Hopper, he also cherished his beloved cat Dexter (Dex) most of all the endless love he held for Chy’la Jo and Nathan Joe.

Dustin was formerly employed at David Hazen Home Repair Specialist.

Survivors include his daughter, Chy’la Hopper of Logansport, sister, Misty (Lewis) Jones of Zionsville, brothers, Donald Hopper (Geogianne) of Florida and Cody Hopper of Lafayette, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many more special family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Nathaniel J. Hopper, father, Danny Hopper, and grandparents Perry (dad) and Joyce (mom) Hopper. 

Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Marocco Chapel, 119 E. Market St., Logansport.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
