Tad Wilkinson

Charles L. “Tad” Wilkinson, 86, of Logansport, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport.

Born on March 8, 1934, he is the son to the late Loyd and Chloe (Brown) Wilkinson. On December 24, 1954 at the First United Methodist Church, where he was a 65+ year member, he married Patricia L. Russow who survives.

Tad was a graduate of Logansport High School. After graduating, he enlisted and served our country in the United States Army. Upon his return, Tad joined his brother Clyde as the 2nd generation of Wilkinson’s to carry on the family business, Wilkinson Heating and Plumbing. Tad was very proud he was able to pass the family business on to his sons, Ed and Brad.

Tad was a 32nd degree Mason and member of the Tipton Masonic Lodge #33. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge #66, Isaac Walton League and the Moose Lodge in Logansport. Tad was an expert fisherman; he enjoyed his trips to Canada and Minnesota to practice his expertise. He also enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre.

Surviving along with his wife Patricia are three children, Ed (Tammy) Wilkinson, Logansport; Deb (Kenny) Ott, Monticello; Brad (Amy) Wilkinson, Logansport; five granddaughters, Lisa (Joshua) Peters of Fort Wayne, IN, Tiffany (Gregory) Roth of Monticello, IN, Kaleigh Wilkinson of Logansport, IN, Kendal Wilkinson of Logansport, IN, Kimi Wilkinson of Logansport, IN; two grandsons, Scott (Kim) Wilkinson of Carmel, Aaron Ott of Ft Wayne, IN; five great-granddaughters, Isabelle Peters, Harper Wilkinson, Violet Wilkinson, Kyan Ott, Kira Ott; five great-grandsons, Jackson Peters, Benjamin Peters, Regan Roth, Finnegan Roth, Spencer Roth;

He was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Wilkinson and sister, Elizabeth Ann Libell.

A private family gathering will be held in Tad’s memory.
