LeVaughn Gross

LeVaughn Gross, 80, of Peru, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020 at his residence.

Born on February 24, 1940 in Lee County, Kentucky to the late Raymond and Lola (Hall) Gross. LeVaughn graduated from Bunker Hill High School in 1959. LeVaughn married the love of his life Sue Kay (Spurlock) Gross on April 20, 1968. They were married for 52 years.

After graduating high school, he went into the construction business with his father. Later, LeVaughn owned and operated LeVaughn Gross Construction Company for 45 years. Upon retiring he continued to take on small jobs, as well as, drawing blueprints for new homes. He found great joy in his woodshop and began making furniture for others. He was an active member and Deacon at the Logansport Church of the Brethren. He spent years applying his life-long trade to the church he loved. In his spare time, he liked to fish, garden, and spend time with his three wonderful grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Sue of Peru; son, Aaron (Peggy) Gross of Logansport; three grandchildren, Jeremy, Jessica and Jenna all of Logansport. One brother, Ervil (Betty) Gross of Oakford and one sister, Lois (David) Briscoe of Peru; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by sisters Eunice Gillam and Thelma Wireman; one brother Bufford Gross.

Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the Logansport Church of the Brethren, 2405 Shadowlawn Dr., Logansport, IN 46947 with Pastor Mike Osborn and Pastor Scott Halterman officiating.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 and visitation at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Logansport Church of the Brethren Memorial Fund.
