Linteen “Teena” Baker

Linteen “Teena” Baker, age 80, Logansport, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020, at Miller’s Merry Manor.

Born July 11, 1940, in Richmond, Virginia, she was the daughter of Curtis and Glydas (Sturgel) Ewing.

On July 26, 1959, in Logansport, she was married to Gene A. Baker, who survives.

Teena retired in 1993 from the dietary department at the Logansport State Hospital. In earlier years she had worked at the lunch counter at Porter’s Drug Store and had also been employed at the H. W. Gossard Company.

She enjoyed helping people and loved everything about Christmas. Especially she enjoyed her grandchildren.

Teena and her husband were members of the Cross at the Crossroad Church on East Main Street where she enjoyed volunteering at the food bank.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Rebecca (William) Kroeger, Royal Center and Karen (Curt) Baker, Cleveland, Tenn.; brothers, Kenny (Beverly) Ewing, Marion and Darryl (Sue) Ewing, St. Petersburg, Florida; grandchildren, Kisha  (Brandin) Hale, Hanna, Paul (Miranda) Rance, Mountain, Wisconsin, Elizabeth (David)  McKeown and Autumn (Davey) Griffith, all of Fishers; eight great granddaughters; several nieces and nephews.

Three sisters preceded her in death, Inez Ball, Shirley Scott and Mary Stackhouse.

A private visitation and service will be held.

Interment will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
