Jimmie Timmons, 74, Logansport, was surrounded by his family when passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at Miller’s Merry Manor.

Born September 22, 1946, in Royal Center, Indiana, he was the son of the late Basil and Anabelle Marilyn (Nickles) Timmons.

He was married to Marilyn (Satchwell) Timmons, who survives.

Jimmie worked in construction with the Baker & Schultz Company.

You would often find Jimmie at area tractor pulls, either enjoying it as a spectator or in the thick of the action as a participant. Jimmie also raced at the Bunker Hill Drag Strip. He lived for deer hunting season and as a younger man, Jimmie enjoyed the adventure of coon hunting.

Surviving with his wife, Marilyn, are four sons, Jimmie Jr. (Ann) Timmons, Indianapolis, David (Lori) Timmons, Rochester, Ricky (Jennifer) Timmons, Walkerton, and Kenny (Lisa) Wheeldon, Burnettsville; one brother, Rodney Timmons, Logansport; one sister, Shirley Hunnicutt, Peru; thirteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers Ivan, Basil, Randee, and Bobbie Timmons and two sisters, Dolores Timmons and Francis Timmons.

A private family Funeral Service will be held at Fisher Funeral Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Davis Cemetery.
