The year 2020 has not allowed for much to go according to plan, but Logansport Memorial’s ongoing physician and provider recruitment efforts have surpassed our plans and expectations for this year in a significant way. Logansport Memorial Hospital has successfully added 14new providers to the Logansport Memorial Physician Network in 2020, ranging from primary care to various specialties that are needed in our community, like Orthopedics and Pulmonology.
Additionally, three existing providers already on board relocated to different offices, to serve our patients in new ways as part of different care teams. Details for each of these new and relocated providers are listed below, by specialty.
Primary Care: Family Medicine

Dr. Hinov, Dr. Sylvester, and Nurse Practitioner Stephanie Dill all offer increased access to primary care. Access to care continues to be a priority for Logansport Memorial Hospital, as the foundation for “Building Better Health” starts with ongoing primary care. Meg Murray is a licensed clinical social worker, joining the Family Medicine team to assist in counseling patients as part of the Medication-Assisted-Treatment (MAT) Program. This established program at Logansport Memorial Hospital helps those with opioid addiction recover their lives, by following a structured program that includes ongoing counseling.

Dr. Sitjar is an established internal medicine physician practicing in Rochester, Indiana. He joined the Logansport Memorial Physician Network and continues to see new and established patients at Logansport Memorial’s Rochester Health Center. Logansport Memorial Nurse Practitioner and Rochester native Kelsey (Frounfelter) House has relocated to our Rochester office from Family Medicine, and is now accepting new patients with Dr. Sitjar at the Rochester Health Center.

Primary Care: Pediatrics

Dr. Wang and Dr. Ally are two of the newest providers to join the Physician Network. Dr. Wang began seeing patients in November of this year, and Dr. Ally will begin seeing patients in February of 2021.

Dr. Kennedy will start seeing patients in January 2021, but officially joined the Logansport Memorial Physician Network in November. Nurse Practitioner Rachel Emery relocated from Logansport Memorial’s Express Medical Center to see patients in the Women’s Health Center, working alongside our existing team of OB/GYNs –Dr. Murray, Dr. McClintock Glover, and Dr. Hall.
Patients can expect to see Rachel Emery for follow-up care or ongoing check-ups as an extension of our OB/GYN team.
Dr. Kennedy is now accepting new patients.

Dr. Ummel and Courtney Schroeder both joined the Logansport Memorial Physician Network as new providers in our Orthopedics office. Jamie Ross NP relocated from the Family Medicine office to utilize her previous Orthopedics experience in serving our patients. Dr. Ummel is accepting new patients, and you can expect to see Jamie or Courtney for coordinated follow-up or post-operative care from our comprehensive Orthopedics team.

Pulmonology

Logansport Memorial’s Wound Care Center is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team of providers who offer highly specialized wound care. Jennay is now part of that team to assist and treat patients for ongoing care and follow-up.

Monica Davis NP has rejoined our Physician Network to assist Dr. Stephen Beck in Urology. Her clinical background in tri-specialty nursing and previous experience in Urology has equipped her to provide exceptional follow-up and post-operative care alongside Dr. Beck.
