Cindy Sue Cearing

Cindy Sue Cearing, 64, of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in her residence surrounded by her family.

Born on July 29, 1956 in Logansport, she is the daughter to Calvin Cress and Phyllis (Hufford) Richard.  On April 4, 1980, she married Paul Cearing who preceded in death on January 23, 1995.

Cindy was an avid sports fan; you could always find SportsCenter on the television in her home. She loved Peyton Manning, the Chicago Cubs, and the 1985 Chicago Bears. She was also huge supporter of the Ohio State Buckeyes, their National Championship Game being the last event she watched before her passing.

Cindy was also known to make a deal. Loaded up with her tea, cigarettes, and a book, she was a frequent visitor of many garage sales around the area, and the Logansport Garage Sales page on Facebook.  Even if no one had an immediate use for the item, if it was a good deal, she was on it.

Family was the most important aspect of her life. She enjoyed spending evening at the baseball field and watching her grandchildren participate in their activities.

Surviving her are two sons, Larry Cearing of Monticello, IN, Rob (Jessica Robinson) Cearing of Lafayette, IN; daughter, Becka (David) Wooten of Logansport, IN; seven grandsons, David Wooten III, Bryce Nethercutt, Brynden Cearing, Tuarenze Cearing, Steven Cearing, Owen Franco, Devyn Wooten; six granddaughters, Kalyn Wooten, Alina Franco, Willow Cearing, Tenzyn Cearing, Evangeline Cearing, Kieghan Wooten; mother, Phyllis (Larry) Richard, Mesa, AZ; sister, LuAnn (Glen) Branham of AZ; step sister, Karen Harvey; niece, Natasha Costello, and several other nieces and nephews.
