Melissa “Missy”Ann Frye, 40, of Kokomo joined the angels on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Community South Hospital in Greenwood.

She was born on May 27, 1980 in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina.

Melissa was a 1998 graduate of Northwestern High School.

Melissa loved her three boys, Justice, Jackson and Jeremiah, baseball, music, animals and her family. 

Melissa was a kind and loving soul with a big heart and she had a smile that would light up a room. She was a good friend, and a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, Aunt and cousin. Melissa saw the good in people and always wanted to help people. There is a hole in the world that Melissa used to fill and it will be felt by all who knew her.  Melissa also had a passion for animals – she was forever bringing home stray animals to save.

Melissa leaves behind a loving family who will miss her dearly including her three children, Justice, Jackson and Jeremiah Frye; mom, Lisa Evans (Brian); dad, Larry Frye (Ana); four sisters, Rebecca Frye, Josephine Struna (Sam), Georgiana Frye (Robert) and Paulette Frye; two brothers, Kirk Frye (Kristine) and Travis Evans; five uncles, Jon Smith (Deb), Tod Smith (Joyce), Paul Frye (Lori), Dennis Frye (Nonie), Danny Frye (Cynthi); one aunt, Chris Black; grandma, Ruth Smith and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandpa, Larry (Buck) Frye; grandma, Betty Frye and maternal grandpa, Jack Smith.

Private family services will be held.
