Monte R. Wagoner

Monte R. Wagoner, age 78, Logansport, passed away at 8:58 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Memorial Hospital.

Born January 19, 1942, in Allegan, Michigan, she was the daughter of Norman and Lois Duryea Hodge.

She was married to Richard Wagoner, who preceded in death on April 9, 2016.

A 1960 graduate of Logansport High School, Monte attended Purdue University.

She had been employed in banking for many years, starting at the F&M State Bank, which later became Salin Bank, where Monte was manager of the Eastgate Branch. Her most recent job in banking was at Security Federal Savings Bank, where she retired.

Following retirement, she was employed at Home Depot, where she could share her love of plants and animals with her customers. She loved the outdoors and was devoted to her rescue dog, Leia.

Surviving are a son, Brian Raub, Logansport; daughter, Elizabeth Raub, Logansport; sister, Suki Wilson, Logansport; grandchildren, Marli Leazenby, Gage Benish, Makayla Kinser, Madison Raub; great granddaughter, Elena Benish.

A step-father, Peeler Gordon, preceded her in death.

A Celebration of Monte’s Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County Humane Society, 700 Water Street, Logansport 46947.

The family also suggests that, in lieu of flowers, a Memorial Tree may be planted in her memory using the Kroeger Funeral Home website to purchase.
