Betty Corn

Betty Lou (Kilgas) Corn, 93, of Logansport, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 in her residence.

Born on July 18, 1927 in Logansport, she is the daughter to the late John and Anna (Malchow) Kilgas.  On September 6, 1947 in New Albany, IN she married Asa Alfred Corn who preceded in death on July 28, 2011.

In her earlier years, Betty loved cross-stitching, gardening, working around the yard, tending to her flowers, bird watching, and taking care of everyone. She loved spending time with her family and friends, Betty was always easy to get along with and eager to strike up a conversation.

Betty attended Wheatland Avenue United Methodist Church and had worked for 33 years at Switches and Company. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and United Steel Workers.

Surviving are two sons, John “Jack” Corn and Gerald “Jerry” Corn, both of Logansport, 7 grandchildren, 16, great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter: her 3 kitty’s, Toby, Fuzzy and Tiger.

She was preceded in death by a son, William A. “Bill” Corn.

Betty will be buried next to her husband at Mount Hope Cemetery in Logansport.
