Harry Joseph Smith, Jr., 84, of Logansport, passed away, Monday, February 22, 2021 in his residence.
Born on February 26, 1936 in Logansport, he is the son to the late Harry Joseph and Bertha (Titus) Smith. On February 23, 1963 he married Carolyn Sue Shelton who preceded in death on January 9, 2008.
Harry was a United States Army Veteran. He retired from Carlisle Industries after 25 years of service and delivered newspapers for the Pharos Tribune.
Surviving are three daughters, Brenda Zeider of Frankfort, IN, Cheryl Reese of FL, Anita (Joe) Peters of Logansport, IN; two sons, Harry Joe (Kim) Smith III of Flora, IN; Larry W. (Becky) Smith of Indianapolis, IN; three sisters, Nancy Beebout of Rochester, IN; Barbara Ervin of Logansport, IN; Donna Watson of Logansport, IN; four brothers, Dick (Judy) Smith of Logansport, IN; Tom (Cindy) Smith of Logansport, IN; Carl (Deb) Smith of Logansport, IN; Frank (Nancy) Smith of Logansport, IN; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
A private celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Dan Butcher officiating. Burial with full Military Graveside Rites will be held at Davis Cemetery, Burnettsville.
A public visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday.
