Billie J. Hitchens, age 82, of Wardell, MO and formerly of Logansport, passed away Wednesday March 24, 2021 at her son’s residence in Steele, MO.
Born July 28, 1938 in Marie, Arkansas to the late Jessie and Olla (Eatman) Wallace. On October 13, 1993 in Logansport, IN she married Earl E. “Butch” Hitchens who survives.
Billie was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Survivors including her husband are four daughters, Billie Sue Duford, Steele, MO; Donna Jean Devalle, Killeen, Texas; Theressia (Ken) Roland, Logansport, IN; Rachel Hitchens, Burlington, IN; two sons, James (Chadell) Wallace, Jonesboro, IN; Jeff (Lori) Musall, Logansport, IN; one sister, Sue (Webb) Goodpastor, Logansport, IN; 22-grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Deb Cain; two sons, Harold Dean Wilson and Kenneth Saunders, and one grandson, Eric Paul Stepp.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 pm Monday March 29, 2021 at the Gundrum Funeral Home.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 pm until time of services on Monday.
A private burial will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Logansport.
